Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) and Lakeview College of Nursing (LCN) have announced a new partnership agreement that will allow LCN employees and alumni to further their degrees in nursing and business.
“At Lakeview, we have been preparing nurses for professional practice for more than 120 years, and we are committed to excellence in nursing education. We are pleased to offer our nursing alumni and staff the opportunity to further their studies at an institution like Olivet that shares these same values,” said Sheila Mingee, President of Lakeview College of Nursing.
Founded in 1894, Lakeview College of Nursing is a private non-profit nursing college with campuses in Danville and Charleston, Illinois. LCN is a single-purpose institution that offers an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. LCN alumni interested in pursuing an advanced degree at Olivet can choose from several programs, including the MBA with a Healthcare Concentration, MSN, FNP, FNPC and EdD.
“Olivet is excited to welcome Lakeview College of Nursing alumni and staff our advanced degree programs, where they can expand upon their nursing skills to pursue meaningful careers,” said Tiffany Holohan, Olivet’s Associate Director of Transfer Admissions.
LCN joins more than 200 organizations across the United States that have partnered with ONU’s School of Graduate and Continuing Studies to provide education to adult learners. SGCS has locations in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, offering more than 30 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.
