If you have completed your BSN and want to broaden your knowledge base in preparation for a leadership role or doctoral study, this Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is designed for you. The goal of the Transformational Leadership concentration is to transform you personally and professionally. Throughout the program you will interact with a variety of multidisciplinary representatives to explore best practices. You will develop, test, and evaluate ideas relevant to nursing practice, along with critically examining concepts and theories in relation to leadership. These skills will help you as you systematize moral, ethical, spiritual, and professional concepts into to your sphere of influence to lead change within the healthcare environment. Business skills have been integrated into the curriculum to give you a competitive edge and provide a solid foundation for entry into an advanced nursing leadership role. Upon completion of this program you will have acquired skills to better advocate for others, promote positive change, improve outcomes, and effectively collaborate within the interprofessional team.

Program Features

This track allows you to either complete two business courses from the MBA core and then transfer them towards a MBA degree in the future, or puts you on the path to earn one of the following certificates* in addition to the MSN degree:


*If students would like to obtain a certificate along with their degree, they will need to take one extra course on top of the Transformational Leadership track for a total of 36 credit hours.
